Recently! the whole of Ukraine witnessed a major scandal with disabled About pensions prosecutors and their large pensions (by the way! none of them have been punished or even fired yet). Huge amounts of money from the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) are spent on so-called special pensions for prosecutors! judges! etc.! many of whom have registered fictitious disabilities.

What is characteristic is that this scheme is most often mom data used by the “servants of Themis” themselves! who have awarded huge sums in the PFU. By law! retired judges receive a lifetime pension from the PFU. In fact! this is the same pension! but its size reaches 90% of the salary in the position where the retired judge worked! and salaries are calculated with all bonuses and allowances. Therefore! thanks to the decisions of colleagues! retired judges became millionaires due to the recalculation of their pensions. In Ukraine! 3!743 retired judges receive an average pension of UAH 100!000 or more…
At the same time in Ukraine there is a formal restriction for everyone:
The maximum pension cannot be higher than 10 subsistence visual! original and striking content minimums for the disabled. Currently! it is 23.61 thousand UAH.
However! tens of thousands of privileged special pensioners fom the authorities asb directory circumvented this restriction – they went to court and obliged the PFU to recalculate! often retroactively! as a result of which the PFU paid them millions of hryvnias!
According to official statistics (as of November 1! 2024)! 24.6 thousand pensioners receive a special pension of more than UAH 23.6! including 4.9 thousand people – more than UAH 50 thousand. These are judges! prosecutors! and other representatives of penal institutions.
