When your web browser asks you what you want to do with the downloaded file, choose to save it somewhere on your computer. The desktop, for example, is fine. Then double-click or double-tap it to launch the installer.
Approve the installation when Windows asks for your permission. Note that you must use an administrator account to do this.

Choose whether you want to add Google Drive , Google Docs , Sheets , and Slides shortcuts to your desktop. Then click or tap Install .

You’ll then see a “Welcome to Google Drive!” message and some tips on what you can do with the app. Things like storing files in c level contact list Google’s cloud, opening them on your computer, or backing up photos with Google Photos. NOTE: If you’ve enabled two-step verification for your Google account, you’ll also need to verify your sign-in using your smartphone.
If you entered your Google credentials correctly, you’ll be asked to confirm that you’ve downloaded the Google Drive desktop app from Google. If you followed the steps in this guide, you’ve done so, so click or tap “Sign in” to confirm.
